Deputy Principal, Digital Literacies and STEM Leader, St Paul the Apostle School, Melbourne
Frank Fabri is the Deputy Principal, Digital Literacies and STEM Leader at St Paul the Apostle School, Doreen, Melbourne. He has worked as a classroom teacher, specialist teacher, Zone Educational Resource Officer (MACs), STEM leader and deputy principal over the span of 40 years. Frank was part of the Technologies Teacher Reference Group revising drafts of the F to 10 Australian Curriculum 2021-22. Initially inspired by Alvin Toffler’s quote from Future Shock ‘The illiterates of the 21st century are not those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn' (Toffler, 1970), Frank sought to embrace ‘change’ and prepare children and teachers for an ever changing world where we enhance our learning, engage our learners and support our children to learn in many different ways. Currently working with teachers and children, Frank is involved in STEM projects that foster learner agency and prioritise Problem Based Learning to allow our children the opportunity to ‘make a difference’.
