Trained primary teacher and researcher at the University of South Australia
Sue Gaardboe trained as a primary school teacher after completing a degree in Applied Science and working for 10 years in the field of Textile Conservation. She has taught in three continents, and in roles as diverse as a secondary school art teacher, tertiary lecturer and a primary school science teacher. In 2012 she won the Early Career STEM Educator of the year award in the South Australian Science Excellence Awards. Her most recent role was as Assistant Principal for Innovative Pedagogies and Digital Technologies in an Adelaide primary school. Sue is a Doctoral Candidate in the UniSA STEM unit at the University of South Australia.
