Tony Hewison had a lifetime of experience in non-government schools, serving on government committees and boards, undertaking pro bono work for numerous independent schools and other educational organisations, and assisting in the formulation of education policy. He was headmaster of St Michael’s Grammar School in Melbourne for 20 years where he introduced a comprehensive outdoor education program in partnership with the Outdoor Education Group – a program that continues to this day. Tony passed away in August 2010.
